School needs to stop allowing these stupid rules about clothes. Who cares about clothes. In my opinion we learn better in what were comfortable in. We need to wear hoodies it is cold here! Life needs to be lived. The clothes we wear are boring. Clothes that are comfortable are needed.We allow food so why not clothes. That's all i have to say.

School buses. Or as some people would call them,Death traps. They say its a privilege to be able to ride the bus, but in what world. Most school buses have no air conditioning, so when its about 100 degrees outside you could have a heat stroke while your sitting down. Or when you get a bus driver that doesn't care about anyone's life including theirs and drive like maniacs. Also when you have a very strict bus driver and goes back to school for the littlest thing or doesn't let you get off the bus even though you just got to your stop.It makes no sense what so ever. But that's what I think about school buses.

I agree with you that buses aren't the best. There isn't any air conditoning when it gets hot outside. But i do disagree about the buses being a death trap, beacuse its not the worst way to go home...and it not litterally a death trap.

DeleteMy issue is about the school lunch. The school lunch is horrible. Everyone hates it. We should have different lunch such as fast food places, like Subway, McDonald's, Wendy's,pizza and etc...The school would earn more money if they did because more students would eat the lunch if it tastes better. Sometimes the lunch isn't even the cooked all the way and that's nasty. People can get sick from that. See if we had more choices, like i said before, then we would be happier and wont get sick from eating nasty school lunch. Another reason is because the school lunch isn't that healthy and really greasy. We probably won't ever get that kind of lunch. It cost a lot more money to have better lunch and more choices, and the government is too selfish to have to spend more money then they do now. And that is why we should have more and better choices of lunch.

I believe that education is key to being who you want to be in life. The best way to get that education is by going to school(obviously). I believe that school is a good thing for kids in the U.S but I have one problem. The school uniform! I understand that the policy for most schools is uniform because they want us to look presentable but I feel that we should have our own sense of style because it how we express ourselves. Whether were quirky, weird, athletic, or even a little bit nerdy our clothes should be the way we express that characteristic/trait. We understand no spaghetti strap clothes, no pants that are above your finger tips, or no shirts that show your torso, we understand all those rules so you should trust us to follow those mandates. We are old enough to know and follow them and we know the consequences as well. Plus you do call us young adults which are over 12 years of age. So please try and consider this.

DeleteIn the Middle East, the creation of a new country is taking place. ISIS, commonly known as a radical Islamic group of extremists, are proposing the foundation of a new nation from the territories that they forcefully claimed from the governments of the respected countries. I believe that the development of this country may have a positive result, as it may lead to the dissolution of ISIS. If there is a known base of operations and many of the extremists gathered at one point, it may be easier to eliminate a majority of ISIS. However, weeds may be cut, but if the roots still exist they will continue to grow. Even so, having reduced a large portion of the ISIS population will decrease their manpower and threat to countries of the Middle East, therefore minimizing the chaos and havoc that is currently taking place.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly read your post and i must disagree with your opinion on the new country being developed. It may be easier to majorly decrease their numbers, but it may also start the birth of them building up an even more powerful army and defense. Still today people are flocking toward them to join their forces and have some fund in their success. Its too risky to allow them to create their "country."
DeleteI think personal tablets/laptops should replace textbooks in school. Textbooks are way too heavy to carry and boring. Tablets just have a way to keep children intrigued and busy even though they are working. Also for kids K-12 it would be about the same cost for a simple tablet than to buy a bunch of textbooks and notebooks etc., and that's if they don't already own one. Don't forget the already high and climbing prices of college, it would drastically cut the price down if you can download a book instead of completely buying one. And to cap off my point, with all the new screen casting apps teachers can share their screen to the students, so now they are teaching and keeping the kids awake. :P
ReplyDeleteI agree with this because it would save kids the trouble of having to carry around heavy book bags. The negative thing about this would be that student might use the tablets/laptops in a negative way and not the what that they are meant to be used.
DeleteLamar, I agree that the text books should be replace with technology because an electronic can tell more than a book can and you may not find what you want or need in the text book, but you can look it up on the internet using the electronic you have. But I also disagree because kids these days can use the tech for education but they also tend to go on other sites they should not be going on and look up things they should not be looking up hiding from the teacher with they're friend.

After adding up the cost of textbooks, books, and even worksheets, it is obvious that one tablet or portable personal computer is much more cost effective, as well as saving paper. However, the cost of repairs over the years to maintain a working and convenient device may lead to being more expensive than the modern solution of textbooks.
DeleteI think the age the government put on drinking should be at least 25 instead of 21. i think 21 is a little bit to young for people to drink. I'm suggesting this because a lot of teenagers are drinking before they are 21. drinking at a young age damages your body. Adults drinking in front of kids make them want to drink too. Parents should wait until their kids or anyone's kids are not in their view for them to be able to drink. To be honest to me wines shouldn't have been made in the first place. If wines were not made parents would not have to worry about their kids drinking at a young age. To me that's what I think about drinking.

At age 18 teens or young adults are allowed to make their own decsions and move out if they want. I think that being 21 is the perfct age to drink. A person knows when their responsible and what they can and cannot handle. A agree because some people might not know how to control themselves and wont be able to make good choices wile drinking
DeleteISIS is raging rampage again. They blew up ancient temples that are over 2,000 years old. ISIS blew up these temples because they felt the temples did not reflect their religion so it show be destroyed. ISIS is a cruel group that kills innocent people just because they have a different views on subjects. ISIS won't back down and neither will the people. This is causes many issues among surrounding states. People are dying and other countries don't want to get to involved in this situation. Powerful countries don't trust each other and that is why ISIS has not been defeated. I have hope in the future that other countries will unite and bring down ISIS.

In history, the Greeks have been known to have relations with a person of the same sex. ReplyDeleteI agree that this same sex marriage/relationships should be accepted by people. Why should other people care about who a person falls in love with. They should just accept that GLBT are here, and they are here to stay. On the other hand, there are people who think that (based on religion) same sex marriage/relationships shouldn't be allowed as well as the law that was passed that they could be married. These people are going to be stupid and hate the people that "their god" says to love.

DeleteI believe that students should be able to wear what ever they want as long as it's Broward County School Board approved. If it's sandals and the sleeves are really skinny, for girls, then that's something that isn't approved by the School Board. Or if the boys' pants are shagging, it is also not approved. But if the girls are wearing a dressy shirt with jeans, I believe it's approved by the School Board. Also if the boys are wearing a T-Shirt and jeans, it may also be approved by the Broward County School Board approved. But the reason I think we should wear regular clothes is because our parents and some teachers want us to express our personalities and be ourselves and we can't really do that with uniforms. So as long as it's Broward County School Board approved, it is alright to wear what ever you want to school.

Everyone says that education is important, but how do people expect others to get an education when college can cost thousands of dollar. Some people have to pay back thousands of loans just to stay in school. I think that the price of college should be lowered to a point where the school is getting money but also to where people can actually attend the school and not have to worry about going into debt. Pus the people who actually want to go somewhere in life has to pay even more money to get the right education. The price of college is most likely the reason some people drop out. And when they do get a scholarship they have to practically kill themselves to keep there grades up.

It is the reason that if people's families are poor, they may not have a chance to get rich themselves and fix their parents mistakes. However, I also believe that if those people truly want a college degree and education, they must work to the best of their abilities to get above average grades. With time and effort, anybody can be at the top of their class. All it takes is a strong will and the determination to get a scholarship.

Studies have shown that over half of the students who apply for colleges, and are accepted, drop out because of tuition alone. But I'm going to have to disagree with you, in order for colleges to run the college by itself there going to need money. Also, for more quality colleges such as Ivy League colleges; Yale, Princeton, and Harvard are going to need more money for tuition because they're schools are so big and learning quality is like 1,000 percent more efficient than a regular city college.

Donald Trump is running for president in the year of 2016. A lot of people have different opinions about him. People say that hes racist and shouldn't be president for this year. He said one conference that he didn't like bringing people from Mexico here in America. His reason is because "they bring crime to this country." My opinion is that hes just trying to protect our country while others say that he will start World War 3. People may disagree with those people that say that. A lot of people vote for Hillary Clinton because they want a change and they want a woman to win so that she can show that woman can be president too. Those people have to think, not just now just because shes running, but the fact that she has 4 years possibly 8, to prove that women can do anything men can do. If Trump wins he needs to prove that he will have peace upon other countries. So if Trump wins and he messes up in the future, then he will be in trouble by the media and society. People shouldn't vote for Clinton just because shes a women but to also see what she is expected to do in the future when it comes down to serious business.

People are not thinking how others feel when you give them irrelevant comments about them. If your in love with the same gender, be with them. I don't think people should stop loving their partner because of what other people say. Be with who you want to be with. There should be no rules, law, or anything that stop people from same sex relationships. That's how I feel about same sex relationships.

I strongly feel that the school doesn't do as much with the funds as they should be doing. We give the school hundreds of dollars each year from field trip to in- school events, and thousands of tax dollars are given to the school so that they can "upgrade" their systems, but all I see every year are the same books, same desk, and same nasty bathrooms. I know that money can be spent easily and quickly if not spent correctly, but the least they can do is make some sort of change that we, the students and teachers, can see. All I am asking is for the school to put the money to good use in the school.

DeleteFootball is a great sport. Widely loved by the american population and many other countries now. There is a problem though in the game of football. Two words. Brain damage. In recent memory alot of athletes in the NFL {National Football Leaugue} recieve alot of brain damage due to the roughness and the hard hits players give to other players. Last year in the 2014-15 season, the NFL recieved alot of players injured because of concusions. Doctors did research on the life span of a football player and its estimate is really low. The NFL should take percotion and make more safety rules for the better of the athletes in the league. Even though the game will not be the same its better to save lives then to throw them away because of a sport. Athletes will live longer if changes will accur, and even attract more people to the game of american football globaly.

I love to play football because i'm a good quarter back which means i barely get hit because I throw the football before they get to me. I also play wide receiver because i'm fast and I could catch really well. I cant get hit when playing receiver because I always get away before they can get a hand on me. That's why I like to play football.

But I also disagree with what you say because when it comes to people or schools who are not in uniform, people tend to bully people by the way they dress, there style, etc... and that what starts all the suicide and things. DeleteI will talk about police brutality.I don't think that policeman should be allowed to use force unless they are physically threatened. People that are getting arrested are obviously going to be upset and run their mouths but that doesn't give the police to draw weapons and harm unarmed people. The police was created to protect and help people not to harm the innocent people. They need to understand that a person has their rights and they shouldn't be allowed to take that away from the and that they aren't above any law just because they are the police. The police need to learn to talk and understand a situation before they jump in and use excessive force. People should feel safe when the police is around and not scared to call the police and ask for help.

Schools should foods like subways burger king kfc and other fast food places, if my school did that then all the kids would have better quality meals to eat and not gross unknown food that we don't like to eat. If they did that i think it wold help the schools performance and they will make more money i guess, and that's the problem i have with my school
